Badassery Magazine is an online community of amazing women founded by Samantha Parker & Kathy Rasmussen. From their online magazine, they describe themselves as-

A global community of women living unapologetic lives. We hold space for empowered women who are empowering those around them. We honor collaboration over competition and believe that we rise higher and more powerful as a whole. Badassery by definition means- “Engaging in seemingly impossible activities and achieving success in a manner which renders all onlookers completely awestruck”. Badassery is a lifestyle. A way of growing and being in alignment with your true purpose. We live our Badassery daily by showing up and carving out our own versions of success and what that means to us.

Early in 2019, Rianna had the wonderful opportunity to work with these ladies and help them build up their community!

 

Background

The inspiring women at Badassery Magazine reached out to Rianna at Pancake Digital Solutions to evaluate ways they could utilize Facebook Advertising. They had done some previous ads but mostly had built their community through great organic content shares.

Before

The Badassery community has a few different methods of joining various parts of the community. They have been effective with organic sales but were just getting started with Facebook ads and did not have a clear way to track whether or not the ads were working.

After

Through our consulting, we found the best option was to add a thank you confirmation page after individuals signed up for a free download. They built this beautifully, and using a combination of existing and new audiences, we were able to successfully track email leads generating at an average of $0.98 per email. ($1.07 & $0.25 for the key 2 audiences – 25 step download)

Future Steps

The women at Badassery Magazine are now set up with a built strategy with which they can add more money to the advertising campaign whenever they are seeking to grow their email list.

On The Table

This was a fantastic project that demonstrated the importance of tracking conversions. Whenever you are starting to advertise on Facebook, you want to ensure you are 1) be being extremely intentional about what you want to achieve with the ads, 2) have a way to measure it, and 3) will be providing genuine value for the people you are advertising too.
